Travis Klok and Chris Froome

I don't like going to school.
Boxing and cycling are my life.

I'm a doer, not a thinker.

But I also know I need a diploma to reach my goal.
That's what I'm doing it for.

I was ten when the boy next door died.

One minite we were playing together...
...end the next minite he was gone.

It was so weird.


When I watched people climbing Alpe d'Huez,
for a Dutch charity ride, I know right away 
that I'd participate next time to commemorate may friend.

I started to follow everything to do with cycling.

That's why Chris Froome is my hero.

Thanks to my dad 
I managed to join the event.

He thought it was a great idea.
He came up with Travis' Heroes.

He got the team together to raise money and arranged what we need.

Cycling up that mountain was a great experience.

All those emotions around me.
Everyone was there for a single purpose.

With my dad, I reached the top three time in the end.

Therefore, I know I can achieve what I want.

You just need to do it.

I may not be the smartest guy...
...but I do know that with the right attitude I can get there.

Wherever that may be.



Cycling is my big passion.

Meeting Chris Froome was awesome.

It began as a joke. But, hey, sometimes these things happen.

Maybe for a reason. Who knows.

I hope I'll find out what it's like to be a professional cyclist.

I might be on the podium one day wearing that yellow jersey.


Travis Klok is one of the winner of the Shimano Believe contest. His dream was meeting his idol, Chris Froome. We gave him a day to never forget. Together with a team of Shimano he flew to Monaco where he stayed in a luxurious hotel. after a good night rest he had breakfast as the Sky team-house, together with his idol Chris. After a good meal they Went for a ride straight up the col de La Madeleine.

We were all very impressed by Travis'perseverance. He rode up the mountain without a single drop of sweat! We maight see him around riding in the peloton some time...

A day later we flew back. Travis was still smiling. He probanly still is.
